Let me preface this post with the fact that I am not now, nor do I ever plan to be, a fan of the Crocs phenomena. I believe fans of these little rubber (?) anti-style shoes when they swear by the comfort they provide even though I can't imagine what I'd wear them with! That said, I do feel that they have a place with the elementary school or younger set and that they can provide an excellent opportunity for the kids to express themselves. Consider letting the kids go wild with doo-dads and craft supplies to decorate their own shoes and make a statement.
