Use, then reuse...
Courtesy of the April, 2010 issue of "Good Housekeeping," here are just a few of the many ways to go green at home - I opted to concentrate on the "reuse" aspect, but check the whole article ("21 Ways to Green Your Home") for lots of great ideas to save money and resources!
* Keep an old shower curtain in your car trunk to use as a liner when carrying messy snow or beach gear, plants, etc. to keep the trunk clean.
* Cut off the top of a plastic gallon milk jug with a utility knife (just above the handle) and use it as a scoop for dog food, kitty litter, salt (for icy sidewalks), etc.
* Roll up a couple of magazines and stick one into each of your boots to ensure that they keep their shape (the boots, not the magazines...but then you knew that, right?!)
